Terms of Use
Effective date: March 29, 2026
Scope
These Terms apply to the MuxCLI website and iOS app. MuxCLI is a self-hosted server product with an iOS app client used to connect to servers that you operate and control.
By using MuxCLI, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or app.
User responsibility
- Use MuxCLI only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.
- You are responsible for the configuration, operation, security, and maintenance of your server and related infrastructure.
- You are responsible for network exposure, firewall rules, access controls, credentials, pairing codes, tokens, and other secrets tied to your deployment.
- You are responsible for any content, data, commands, or activity you make available through your server.
- Do not use MuxCLI to access, test, or interfere with systems without authorization, or to bypass security controls or disrupt service.
Third-party services
MuxCLI may depend on third-party services and infrastructure, including Apple platforms, your hosting provider, your network, and services you connect to your server. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, performance, policies, or data handling practices.
Apple may process crash diagnostics or logs under Apple’s own terms and policies. Any Apple-provided diagnostic data we can access through Apple tooling is subject to Apple’s platform controls and availability.
Disclaimers
MuxCLI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and error-free or uninterrupted operation.
We do not have visibility into the content of your server data or sessions on either side of the connection. We do not guarantee that MuxCLI will preserve data, remain compatible with every server configuration, or prevent configuration errors, operational mistakes, or security incidents on your infrastructure.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MuxCLI and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, business interruption, or any security incident affecting your systems or data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to MuxCLI will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you paid nothing, that amount is zero.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date.
